My name is Jen Kerr and I’ve been a hairdresser in Central Texas for 13 years. A San Diego native, I started my cosmetology career 15 years ago at Paul Mitchell the School San Diego and developed my passion for all things hair, including my thirst for a comprehensive knowledge of how hair works and of course my love of Blonding. With a beginning in high end salons, I switched gears to obtain my Cosmetology Instructor license at Paul Mitchell the School Austin and taught fundamental cosmetology as well as practical salon application for two years.
After 13 years in Texas, Lockhart is home. You can often see me enjoying the patio at Best Little Wine & Books or a ham sammy at The Case Room. Outside of hair, I’m an avid outdoors(wo)man and sun goddess, connoisseur of bubbles, frozen drinks and BBQ.
While working at the school, I also dove into men's cutting which lead me down a wonderful, several year path of barbering and salon management. Switching gears again, this time back into a high end platform, I began my career with the Austin company SALON by milk + honey and enjoyed over four years with them before venturing out on my own.
